REGISTRATION: Please register each adult and child (aged 2+) that will be attending. Enrollment is per class (not for all 4 dates). There are limited spots for each class and each person must be enrolled to ensure a spot in the class. Please only enroll for one class date. You will receive a confirmation email after enrollment with the class details.

Nature Days
at Walnut Creek Metro Park
Going to the park doesn’t just have to be about playing on a hot, plastic playground anymore!
Bring the whole family to join Earth Native Wilderness School, working in partnership with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department, to help families connect more deeply with Austin’s wonderful Walnut Creek Metro Park and the new natural play feature that has recently been added to the park!
After checking out the new Fairy Pavilion we’ll break into smaller “station” groups to explore some of the neat natural wonders that Walnut Creek Metro Park has to offer. Stations will include, a short edible and medicinal plant walk, making art with locally sourced mineral and plant based natural paints and pigments, the ancient art of making rope using loose plant fibers, and we’ll get our bodies moving with some fun nature games.
Please bring snacks or a picnic lunch to enjoy during the day’s adventures and a water bottle for each member of the family. Activities will include some short walks on park trails so closed-toe shoes are highly recommended.
This is a family event and not a drop-off class.
At least one adult must be in attendance to accompany children at all times throughout the day. This adult MUST be enrolled, as well.
