Recent studies have shown just how vital time outdoors is to childhood development. Our monthly youth nature programs utilizes a unique teaching style called the 8 Shields Mentoring Model which combines child's passions and natural learning cycles to help your children build strong connections to nature while learning about themselves and the wild around them!

Through excellently crafted nature and awareness games, exploration, and adventure your children will build essential skills and knowledge that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Curriculum topics include local edible, medicinal, and useful plants, natural navigation, wildlife ecology and animal tracking, sensory awareness exercises and more.

 

Earth Native is excited to expand our award winning nature programs north of Austin at Georgetown’s beautiful Garey Park conveniently positioned right between Leander and Georgetown.

These programs meet either one Saturday or one Sunday a month for a total of 8 sessions from September - April. In order to ensure that our youth programs maintain the high quality that we are committed to, group size is limited to a maximum of 10 students per instructor.
