Set against the beautiful backdrop of our Woodview campus, you'll deepen your connection with nature as you discover the rich diversity of wild edible and medicinal plants available right here in Central Texas.
In this comprehensive, hands-on class, you'll:

Learn to confidently identify a variety of wild edible and medicinal plants, recognizing both their benefits and their habitats.

Practice sustainable harvesting techniques, gathering seasonal wild plants while ensuring ecological balance.

Taste delicious wild foods thoughtfully prepared in advance by your instructor.

Work alongside fellow participants to create and enjoy a unique wild food dish together, celebrating your day's harvest.

Receive valuable resources and guidance to support your ongoing foraging adventures.
Your instructor, Roxy Huckabee, brings over a decade of experience in wild edible plant identification, harvesting, and preparation. Passionate about sharing her extensive knowledge and love of wild foods, Roxy will guide you through every step, ensuring a rewarding experience for beginners and seasoned foragers alike.

Ages: This is an adult class but open to ages 14+. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult participant with a 1:1 ratio. An enrollment and class fee must be received for each person attending, regardless of age.
