There is not much quite as exquisite as a handmade arrow. In fact, we would argue that a well crafted arrow is a working piece of art. Arrow making is a skill that humans have honed for tens of thousands of years and we’d like to share it with you. Join us for a hands-on experience learning how to create hunting quality arrows. From branch to bow, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to harvest natural materials off the landscape and create beautiful operational arrows.
Students will learn to straighten and prepare wild harvested wood shafts, to haft and secure in a bone or stone point with tree pitch glue and deer sinew, how to create a nock, and attach fletching to keep the arrow stable in flight.
Whether you have a desire to hunt with your own personally crafted bow and arrows or you just want to connect with an incredible ancestral skill, this class will not disappoint.
