Wilderness Survival Overnight Class
Does your child have what it takes to survive in the wild? This class will give them a start…in a super fun way! We will cover survival priorities, fire skills, shelter-building, finding food and water, and making rope from plants. We will also talk about what to do if they get lost and how to deal with hazards such as snakes, poisonous plants, and environmental factors that can cause hypothermia and dehydration. Come prepared for a full day, night and morning of learning, fun and exploration!
Time: 10:00am on Saturday through 12:00pm on Sunday
Location: Earth Native Campus, 137 Woodview Lane, Bastrop, TX
Please note that all youth classes are DROP-OFF classes. Parents do not attend.
Feel free to bring your own tent and camping gear or we have tents and sleeping mats available for you to rent.
Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast, plus AM snack provided on Sunday. We will ask you to send a packed lunch for your child on Saturday and bring a packed lunch on Sunday for after class
Students are welcome to share a tent with their friend/sibling, as long as this is noted on their registration form. Requests from children at class will not be accommodated.
A Mora Brand Fixed blade knife is required for this class. They are readily available online or you can choose to purchase or rent one from us during registration.
