Traditional Sandal Making

There is nothing quite like walking silently through the woods in leather shoes you made yourself!

Our feet connect us to the Earth and carry us everywhere we go, our shoes should do the same. The barefoot shoe movement has exploded in the last few years and many recent studies have shown that minimal shoes can be great for your feet.

You too can learn to make minimalist sandals for yourself with just a scrap of leather and a bit of cord! Join us for a fun and informative day outdoors and walk out of class with some cool new knowledge and a brand new pair of homemade shoes on your feet!

Students will learn:

  • Proper material selection

  • How to measure and cut a pattern for their shoe sole

  • How to attach a cord sandal lase

  • And more…
