The Art of Making Natural Rope
The art of making rope from plant fibers is one of the oldest and most useful survival skills you can learn. Early people used natural cordage to not only create tools, but also to use the strength of the plant fibers to lash in shelter constructions, make fishing lines, and to repair clothing.
In this class, we will learn the process of making cordage by identifying a vast selection of plants in the woods, harvesting and preparing each plant species and using the reverse wrap method to bind the fibers together to make rope. Come learn one of the top-10 survival skills to master!
