MEDICINAL PLANTS
Come join us to learn about some of our local native and naturalized plant medicines. The Native Americans and early settlers who lived in central Texas knew and utilized nearly all of the local plants in some form or fashion, many times for medicine. For beginners it is easy to get overwhelmed with the vast array of medicinal plant that surround us, therefore this class we will focus on a handful of the most useful plants of the season. Included in the course is a plant walk to meet the plants covered and learn accurate identification, followed by an in-depth discussion about their many uses and the best preparations for each.
