Advanced Wildlife Tracking Intensive - 8 Month

This course is designed for students who have either already successfully completed the Wildlife Tracking Intensive or who have achieved a level III certification through CyberTracker International. The class is similar to the Wildlife Tracking Intensive but will cover more advanced animal track and sign identification as well as additional wildlife trailing techniques. 


This program will cover:

Advanced identification of animal track and sign 

Advanced interpretation of animal movement and behavior through track and sign patterns

Aging tracks and sign found in the field

Animal trailing techniques

Ecological Tracking 

Animal behavior studies

Bird Feather and kill site identification

Mammal Skull identification


Note: Physical exertion during the local program weekends is light on local weekends and moderate on the field trips. Participants must be capable of walking on varied uneven terrain for up to 6 miles in a day.

Location/Schedule: Austin/Bastrop area- This program will meet on Saturday and Sunday one weekend a month from October - May. In addition to the local weekends, the program includes two 3 day and one 4 day wildlife tracking expeditions to Big Bend National Park, Monahans Sandhills State Park and Caprock Canyon State Park.

Program cost: $1795 or pay monthly for $170 a month*

*Payment plan based on 9 monthly payments (from Sept-May) and a non-refundable $400 deposit for a total tuition of $1930
